OK, I'm getting excited now - only 2 more sleeps and I'll be at Pukekohe Raceway for an Advanced Rider Training day where there will be one on one technique training with some of NZ's best riders (I'll take all the help I can get ;) ), then on Sunday is back to the track for the race meeting :banana

I've been going over the FZR and have 'kitted' the ZXR250 front master cylinder which feels heaps better, and the only thing left to do is put some washers in the clutch to firm up the springs a bit, that will have to wait for tomorrow night as I need to open the ID of them out to 10mm on the lathe at work, but it's not a big job.

All the race gear & license are already packed.

Man, I don't even look forward to Christmas this much - I can't wait to pull the trigger in anger again.

The only bummer is that duke22 has a buggered shoulder and won't be racing, oh well, next time.

I took care of the usual last minute things this evening.

First job, put the washers in the clutch to give a bit more bite.
I drilled them out to 10.0mm on the lathe at work, but had to open them out a little with the Dremel - they need to be 10.5mm to fit properly.

Here's a shot of one of them sitting over the ,spring tower'

And a slightly out of focus shot of them going on.

I used two washers per spring which gives 2.2mm of extra tension per spring.

It was easy to tell when they had passed over the end of the 'tower' and I checked they were all even by lining a small straight edge up over the ends of the bolts, I also checked for spring binding and everything is working ok.

Tool box is packed, the trailer is already on the car and the alarm is set for 5.30am; so it's time for a beer and off to bed early tonight.
