tank swap

Hello,

I just joined the Forum. Is there another fuel tank that will work on my '89 FZR 400 other than the stock one? The 600 tank looks very similar but I don't know if it will just bolt on the same way without mods. Please help.

Doesn't look like it, but could be wrong. Looks like the mounting points on the side of the tank are different. Plus the 600 tank has a recess on the front of it. They didn't have the right picture for the 89 600 so I'm going off the 1990 bikes. Even though it's a different year it should be about the same for the 89s.
