Having trouble taking off my muffler...
I have a 1992 FZR600...

Recently, I had to replace my footpegs. I tried to take off the muffler (stock) to gain easier access to the right side. After I loosened the bracket and mounting bolt, I couldn't pull it off. Obviously, I don't expect it to slip right off, but even a great effort didn...

VIN Numbers...
Does anyone know how to decipher VIN numbers for FZR's? I'm trying to figure out what the out of box HP is for my bike (1992 FZR 600). I figured out how to read some of the info, except what I really want to know: the HP! This is more out of curiosity than anything else.
Any help would be appreci...

Questions on Dynojet and Exhaust...
My 1992 FZR 600 is bone stock. Soon I am going to install a Dynojet kit (Stage 1) and a slip-on.
First of all, would it be wise to forget about installing myself and have the shop do it? How difficult is it? I do have some mechanical aptitude and I have a little experience with re-jetting a carb,...

My apologies to dragracer1951!
I just posted a reply noting something you suggested. Unfortunately, I gave your name only a cursory glance and copied it down as I saw it in my mind. I noted you as "disgracer"! Sorry, man, it wasn't done on purpose. Although, I must admit, "disgracer" is a pretty cool name if I do say so myself!<b...

Thanx for the replies...
Thanx for all your help, guys. Lately I have been doing what disgracer suggested: watching my mileage, but I'd still like to know what position reserve and/or off is in. It's one of those things, you know, I'd just like to know what everything on this bike does.
Thanx.
John.

Forgive My Ignorance...
I just bought a 1992 FZR 600 about 2 months ago. It is in exceptional condition (4900 original miles). Through my own ignorance, I ran out gas - twice. Insert laughter here. Now, obviously the bike does not have a gas gauge and my last bike, an Enfield, had a switch to switch over to reserve. I just...
