That sounds like a dodgy electrical connection to me. Make sure the terminals on the battery are clean and lightly greased - Vaseline is best.<br>If that doesnt cure it, check all the connections to ensure they`re not corroded. <p></p><i></i>

Yup, I`ve cleaned my rad! I took it off, then blasted it with the garden hose from behind to clear all the crud. I also flushed it through in the same way. I`m pretty confident the rad isn`t blocked and the fins are all clear. <p></p><i></i>

cheers for that, whyml, but I have changed the cap for a new one already, so I`m guessing thats not the fault. My bike seems to boil when the gauge reaches the red, I`m still worrying that the head may be porous but I havent done a gas or pressure test as yet. <p></p><i></i>

No need to split the cases, it`s a piece of cake to fit!! Just drain the oil, remoce the R/hand engine cover and there it is!! Wahey!!! Fixed it!<br>bad connection on the slide part of the switch, the copper contacts had corroded. Took it apart, cleaned them up with Scotchbrite and WD40.<br>Sorted. <p></p><i></i>

The sprocket bearing, (and clutch basket bearing) is an interference fit on the output shaft and I think it has a pin that locates it in the caseing. Yes, you do need to split the cases!
