As i'd already spilt the beans on FZR250.com i got no problems with everyone knowing now. Unfortunately yes it's time to sell and change things a bit. Whilst i love the FZR for all she i...

Thanks for the words of encouragement. :D There's a little bit of news lurking around that i'm picking up my next bike in a couple of days. Not letting on what it is quite yet but it ticked all the boxes except for the 'Is a Yamaha' one. :( I'm still planning on being actively involved in the EXUPBr...

I can't seem to wear out my Pilot Powers (!) Very happy with the Powers BTW +1...the traction in the tire usually goes away before you can wear out the tread...so, you kinda have to watch it if you have alot of track time on them...other than that, they are the best tires i've run to date...i've be...

What happened to tyre pliers and a couple of blocks of wood?!
Yeah it takes a bit of muscle but it's cheap and if you do it yourself carefully you won't scratch the rim at all.
Also, balancing can be done using a couple of milk crates and the stock rear axle.

Hey Guys, I put a FZR250 pump in and alls good now. Cheers :D Theres a certain element of irony in that given that all of the FZR250 fuel pumps that i know of have died and had to have been replaced with other pumps! On my old FZR250 i replaced the fuel pump with one off a Kwaka ZZR600 and it worke...

Metzeler M3's. The previous hit list has included... Metzeler M1's (i liked them alot, hence the M3's on it now) Pirelli Diablo Strada's (in an attempt to get decent life out of them!) Michelin Pilot Powers (didnt like them. No progressive feedback, just grip grip grip then GONE!). PS. I've been tol...

Well in and around Melbourne (Australia) the police have discovered they're more likely to be able to stop the 'dangerous' riders by doing license checks. They've realised that pursuing a rider is likely to end badly and as such focus their attention on other ways to catch them. On the other hand th...

The YZF 750 relay arm is trundling it's way to you as I type (surface mail may take weeks) regards Chris what the heck is trundling ???? trun‧dle 1. to cause (a circular object) to roll along; roll. 2. to convey or move in a wagon, cart, or other wheeled vehicle; wheel: The farmer trundled his prod...

There's another one of those being built in Perth in Western Australia. Not quite as extreme climate as Dubai but not far off it.

Koma, that's one of the best on-board recordings I've ever seen, and the road's a treat. How did you mount the camera? Smooth riding too :P John  Everyone laughs when i tell them how i recorded it - but what the heck. It's filmed on a Nokia 6280 mobile phone, with the phone electrical taped in...

Just a tip for anyone attempting to get a seized piston out of a caliper... I had an absolute nightmare of a job getting 6 seized pistons (of a total of 8) out of an '91 FZR250 3LN-3. I ended up taking the first caliper into a car brake specialist to see if they could get it unstuck - they failed. T...

FZR1000 The Black Spur (Australia) Video

Hi guys & gals, Well i finally got around to rigging up a rather ghetto recording system to my tank consisting of a Nokia 6280, with some elabourate electrical tape to hold it in place. Next time i might come prepared instead of the spur of the moment 'hey, i wonder if...'. The Black Spur for those ...

That ebaums video compilation is pretty good... although i've seen most of them before. About 9 or so clips in the one where the guy is carrying the pizza and gets hit by a car, that was a traffic accident comission advertisment in Australia - and no it's not real. Other than that, alot of broken bo...
