There's an interesting column in Cycle News Issue #45 (Nov 15, 2006). It's the Archives column by Larry Lawrence. titled Yamaha Discovers Supersport. It's about the entry by Yamaha into the AMA Supersport class with the FZR600 and how they dominated the class in 1989.

The article should make our FZR600 members proud. It was their bikes that started it all with Yamaha's success in supersport competition.
