Spark Plug adjustment

Post by 750mik »

Do I need to adjust the gap on new plugs before installing them?

Cheers
Mike

You should check them, be carefull if they're double platinums - there are warnings about not adjusting some of those.
Fairings just get in the way of carb tuning

Mike,
Always check the gap on new spark plugs. The multi-electrode plugs come pre-gaped but check them anyway. Return the multi-electrode plug, if it's not gapped properly, in exchange for a good one. The single electrode plugs usually come pre-gaped too but check them anyway. You can re-gap the single electrode plugs if they're not gapped properly.
