When this baby gets to 88mph....

I haven't seen one on the road for a long time, 2 years maybe? I got a ride in one when I was about 13 or so.
Man, a few subtle changes could really improve that car alot. Those wheels are down right hideous, and the rear louvers over the back window is def. an 80's fad. Tint the windows, lower it and it's almost back into this decade again lol....

Who in their right mind would paint a car whose body is made entirely of stainless steel ?

I didn't think they ever came with paint.
Exerpt.
The body of the DMC-12 was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and clad entirely in brushed SS304 stainless steel. Except for three cars plated in 24-karat gold, all DMC-12s left the factory uncovered by paint or clearcoat.[3] Painted De Loreans do exist, although these were all painted after the cars were purchased from the factory.

If the were damaged and had parts replaced the stainless did not look the same so people would paint them
A boy I knew in my last year of highschool had one and I used to get to ride in it

saw a discovery channel thing of delorion - sounds like he got a bad rap
anyways - theres a place in texas i recall that still has warehouses full of parts replacements and they offer full rebuilds of your car - prices seemed decent considering it aint gonna rust and you get a brillo pad to polish it up
give me a pantera with the 351 behind my head and i'd be happy
heck...give me a trade up to my 97 civic
matter o fact in my civic when that baby gets to anything above 25mph - look out....
thats what I'm saying!

These are pretty cool, never seen any here.
Don't want to ruin it for anyone but the stainless panels are cosmetic only
it has a steel body underneath, delorean also wanted to make a trick composite chassis but finances wouldnt allow it.
Lotus devoloped the suspention though.
Apparently the stainless edges on some were so sharp by the door handles you could cut yourself on ones not finished properly.
The small 4 cylinder engines in these engines would pull skin the off a rice pudding but werent fast even by then stds.
But would do the magic 88MPH I'm sure...
There is a large club for these but less than 10,000 (I think) were made.
I'd still have one
Cheers
