I REALLY wanted to take the FZR1000 to track day last weekend. But it
was freezing cold and windy and rain.

Got the FZ1 out on a sporty road ride this weekend though, that was good.
(Black Spur for those who know it).

I wouldn't post my profile like I wouldn't post my email. But whoever

Cold tyres are a bitch, eh. I'm never game to go hard on cold tyres, and the dunlops I've got at the moment seem a lot worse than michelins for that. Do you have warmers? Do they get the tyres to temp properly or do you lose a lot of temp on the grid etc? Glad you and the bike seem to have come off ...

They look a lot more substantial than the crap eBay ones which broke.

Just be careful of quality with the adjustable links, as two guys in the fz1 club have had them break.
