Re: Warwick Challenge Cup

Beautiful bike there mate, shame to damage it and yourself when it is not your fault. Hang in there, you will be OK soon enough. I broke my wrist,rib,t1 vertabrea and collarbone at the Island Classic in January but should be ready to race again in September. Will you still be coming to the Barry She...

Steve,
Where did you get your lighter springs from?
Congratulations on winning Retro class in St George by the way.

New cables, no kinks, action smooth and not sticking.
It seems the spring is just too strong to close the slides.

39mm Keihin FCR flatslides

I have a set of 39mm flatslide carbs off an OWO1 fitted to my YZF 750 using a 1/4 turn quick action throttle.
Problem is the throttle action is very heavy.
OK for short races of 5 or 6 laps but longer races are a struggle.
Any suggestions to make the throttle lighter?

I've got 1 tooth bigger on the front and 1 tooth smaller for the back (compared to Eastern Creek), geared really high.
Will be interesting to see if I can get it to redline with the gearing so high.

Saturday race 1, 3rd on the grid, I got a good start for a change and was third into turn 2. I tried to keep up with Nigel Taylor and Brett Clarke so they kind of pulled me along and I had 4 laps in the 107s, my previous best was 108.5 so really happy to improve so much. Lapped a rider on lap 5 and ...

520 pitch sprockets for YZF 750

I am looking to buy 520 pitch rear sprockets to fit a YZF 750. Does anyone know of modern model bikes that would match the yzf 750 rear sprockets? I know that R6 1999 to 2003 model and thunderace to 2002 model front sprockets match the YZF750. I am having trouble finding listings for sprockets to su...

Congratulations on the results for St George series Steve.
I might have to give them a go next year.
You didn't blow your zip on your new leathers did you?
I'm riding with Rob Cole in the 1 hour, should be fun riding his 1100.

Steve and Zoltan you should go to Broadford next time, it is a great track and a lot of fun was had by all. Finishing all the races in the club championship payed off for me. Perseverence pays. I hope Mike will make it to the next Barry Sheene with the other queenslanders, best of luck for your reco...

I have owned an aprilia RST 1000 Futura for 6 years.
Great bike, the sports tourer version of RSV 1000.
No real problems with the bike but spares can sometimes take a while for delivery.
See aprilia forum on the AF1 racing website for info on aprilia's.

A great weekend of racing, some of those QLDers are real fast and nice blokes as well. Graeme on his Ducati 916 in race 3 running wide off the track between turn 1 and 2 at 200k's but not slowing down and making it back onto the track was impressive. Then in race 4 I was right on his tail through tu...

Hi Jason, Steve, A good weekend at Wakefield, I'll give you a copy of the video of the races I followed you in Steve at the BSFOS or PM me with your address and I'll post it to you. You can see Mick Onrust crash in the distance just as I'm passing you on the back straight. We should have some more g...
